Is Socialization A Problem For Home Educated Youngsters
When we believe about the socialization process in schools, it may be worth considering something that happened about a decade ago. Here in the US, there was the Columbine High School killing spree that shocked the nation. Nor was this the only school where such a thing happened, as quite a few other incidents of this type have happened in schools in the U.S. and elsewhere. Various measures, such as increased security and cooperation from local police forces, to prevent future outbreaks of violence. Considering this situation, how can parents be blamed for wanting to protect their kids from this kind of danger? Children schooled at home need not be isolated from the world, provided that their parents allow them to take part in a wide variety of activities that keep them involved with their communities.
