Around the world, mobile phones outnumber land based phones. Smart phones, however, are the new category of phones that account for the largest growing segment. Now they also exceed desktop and laptop computers. By the latest statistics that I have heard, there are around 260 Million of mobile phones, just in the USA. About 70% of them are the smart phones. In Canada, the ratio must be similar. In many parts of the world, the penetration is so much higher. Main categories are; iPhone, BlackBerry, followed by series of hardware devices made by different manufactures. Several of my previous phone sets were all Nokias, but for the last two years, I have enjoyed my first smartphone. I have never not needed any iPod features, but only ability to search mobile web and have emails. The phone company gave me new offer, but had to add new data plan with an extra cost. I am much too busy to shop around and compare deals, so I took the offer from my current provider. They asked me number of confusing questions about my planned usage, but I could not make any predictions. I took, what they recommended to me. I had some difficulties to learn how to type on a small keyboard and read the small fonts from the screen, when i like it always big. Based on the information that I acquired before purchasing the phone, I had to consider two major factors that have influence for future usage. The types of websites you want to download and their transfer data with the cost. I am still not sure, how many full websites I can visit in a month for my data plan. If I am over the limit, how much will it cost me?
