The English county of Cornwall is one of the best places to indulge in surfing in Britain with a superb selection of beaches such as; Penhale Corner, Trevaunace Cove, Perranporth and Perran Bay as well as Porthtowan Beach, Portreath and Chapel Porth. Obviously not every person enjoy surfing and below I examine the incredible seaside resort of Newquay and look at a few places to stay.

If you are enthralled by nature then you might find the nearby attractions of Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre, Screech Owl Sanctuary and Cornish Birds of Prey Centre.

Other places of interest include Spirit of the West, Trerice (Kestle Mill) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. And who could forget East Wheal Rose Park, The Eden Project and Cornwall Pearl. Finally why not take a ride on the Lappa Valley Steam Railway.

Places To Stay In The Cornish Resort Of Newquay

The Hotel Victoria is a 3 star (AA rated) establishment located on the cliffs overlooking the Great Western Beach. With the cost for rooms from around 65 the Victoria Hotel is difficult to beat. Hotel Victoria has 3 restaurants as well as leisure facilities including a spa bath, gym and indoor pool.

If you are searching for something a little more modest then the Narrowcliff Hotel has accommodation from 26 per night. Situated on the seafront at Narrowcliff directly above Tolcarne beach. Alternatively Edgcumbe Hotel features rooms from 35 and the establishment is open throughout the year and the Edgcumbe Hotel also has cliff top sea views at Narrowcliff.
